Lower eyelid surgery
Having large, bright eyes is what most people desire. If someone's eyeballs are excessively covered by the lower eyelid, or if their eyes are long and narrow but not large enough, they can undergo lower eyelid reduction surgery, also known as lower eyelid enlargement surgery, after evaluation. An incision is made on the outer side of the lower eyelid, and part of the inner side of the tarsal plate is removed. Then, some lower eyelid tissue is removed to adjust the level and downward pull of the eyelid, creating the visual effect of a longer lower eyelid and larger eyeballs. At the same time, it can also improve the problem of inverted lower eyelid eyelashes.

Preoperative preparation
• Since everyone's preference for eye shape is subjective, and the surgical methods suitable for each individual condition are different, it is recommended to prepare a sample photo of your preferred eye shape before consulting with a doctor in person. This will allow the doctor to better understand the patient's expectations and needs for the surgery during the consultation, and will also greatly improve the efficiency of communication.
• During the consultation, please note that you should not wear makeup or double eyelid tape, nor should you wear colored contact lenses, photochromic lenses, or other colored contact lenses, so that the doctor can assess and plan the surgery according to your natural eye shape. If you have high myopia, you can wear completely transparent contact lenses during the consultation so that you can clearly see the doctor's simulated state during the consultation.

Postoperative repair
• The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. Because the eyes need to be open during the surgery so that the doctor can confirm the symmetry of both eyes, patients can usually go home after a short rest and ice application after the surgery.
• Post-operative care staff will immediately assist with applying ice packs. After returning home, be sure to apply ice packs frequently to reduce post-operative bleeding and swelling, which will also help shorten the recovery period.
• After surgery, it is essential to maintain a normal daily routine and develop good hygiene habits. Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and consuming spicy or irritating foods. Also, avoid lifting heavy objects to prevent affecting wound healing.
